The foundation of high quality still pictures is closely linked to the stability of the camera while the shutter opens. In theory, a good grip or a lightweight tripod would do the cut but in practice that is just not good enough.

This video demonstrate the many features a good tripod holds and it justifies every one of them; here unlike a fashion show, eveery component works and there is no face value. I would like to be able to claim simplicity in photography but there is no such fairy tale in a field made by technology and gadgetry. No fine picture comes easy.
